Metal Detecting New Spot Produces SILVER - neswiper does it again. (silver) I am going to like this new spot. First hole at this place was a 1966 dime. I knew then and there something good was going on in this place. Then Mrs. Swiper picked up a 1963 Nickel. That pretty much sealed the deal that this place would produce. Within an hour I had myself a Silver Coin. I don’t even have to bet there is more there, because you know there is. The place is HUGE and would take years to cover the whole place. That’s what makes this NEW SPOT so exciting. I think it’s going to be my Ace in the hole whenever I want it. The place is so coin soaked, you can’t go more than 5-10 minutes without at least hitting one.
Expect more good finds from this place in the future.

Metal Detecting Another Silver Coin in The Forest - Two Days in a Row! A 1918D Dime. Once again, it came right at the time I was pondering leaving out of frustration. I believe I was thinking about food when I got the signal. After that I remember hoping it was a wheat penny. Then, it just popped out of nowhere. That’s two respectable silver coin finds in 24 hours. I’m stoked.
I learned a bit more about the metal detector today. The Minelab Xterra 305. I need to calm the coil down and let the machine do the work, instead of swinging it fast everywhere like the Tesoro.
This badlands hunting is taking it’s toll on my troop. I’m afraid we might be stuck in the tot lot tomarrow for a little break. I think we should send the wife off with the Minelab in the grass, while we pick up The Compadre and surf the tot lot playground sand. All metal. This will put us back in the saddle with our known Compadre fans, myself included. Can’t forget about our Compadre fans. I have a feeling that is going to be the machine we find our first gold with. It’s already proven itself to find very small jewlery with pinpoint precision.
